Veterans Trevor Richardson and Michael Verboom each hit the scoresheet, composing a solid top line for the Maroons. The duo were joined by newcomer Brayden Hopkins who had two assists and was a physical presence. Eric Palazollo, another second year Maroon also scored.

Chatham product Jay Ritchie had the other Maroons goal chipping in a rebound to open the scoring.

Dresden Kings star Brennan Rainey scored for the Legionnaires in the loss.
