When the NFL regular season begins, Wallaceburg’s Shaun Suisham will be the go to kicker yet again for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers released the only other kicker remaining in camp, rookie Daniel Hrapmann Monday.

Hrapmann kicked well in the preseason going a perfect 6-for-6 on field goal attempts, however, the team decided to stick with the veteran Suisham.

Hrapmann, a graduate of Southern Mississippi was released Monday as the Steelers moved to reduce their roster to the 75-man limit by the 4pm deadline.

Following Pittsburgh’s final preseason game Thursday when they host the Carolina Panthers, the Steelers will need to make additional cuts to get down to the mandatory 53 player limit by Friday at 9pm.

Suisham will take over the full time kicking duties starting Thursday after splitting games evenly with Hrapmann during each of their previous preseason games.
