McGregor, UCC Pick Up Senior Hoops Wins

Amy Finley paced the UCC Lancers Senior Girls basketball team as they defeated the CKSS Golden Hawks 42-28 in senior girls hoops.

Finley had 17-points for the Lancers, while teammate Lindsay Elliott had 9. Alicia Huckle led the Golden Hawks with 11-points in the loss.

Across town at John McGregor, the Panthers defeated the visiting Wallaceburg Tartans 50-29.

Bridget Carleton and Anique Daley both scored 14-points for JMSS, while Laura Polowick had 10 for the Panthers in the victory. Tamara Gamble was Wallaceburg’s top scorer picking up 9-points.

In the Senior Girls ‘A’ loop, Emily Pepper had 18-points in a 51-23 Pain Court win over Chatham Christian.Hope Long scored 20-points for her Ridgetown Royals as they defeated the Lambton-Kent Cardinals 43-32.

In Junior girls action, UCC defeated CKSS 26-22, JMSS beat Wallaceburg 37-29, and Lambton-Kent downed Ridgetown 22-17.
