Woodman Named CJFL Player of the Week

Chatham product and Ursuline College graduate Josh Woodman has been named the Canadian Junior Football League offensive player of the week.

Woodman, plays wide receiver for the London Beefeaters, his second campaign in the CFJL with London.

In a 37-11 win over the Windsor AKO Fratman Saturday in London, Woodman pulled in nine catches, three for touchdowns, and compiled 230 yards for the Beefeaters.

On the first play of the game, Woodman caught and ran for an 80-yard touchdown, kicking off another dominating performance for the first place London Beefeaters who sit with a perfect 4-0 record. London will attempt to stay undefeated Saturday as they travel to face the Ottawa Sooners.

Woodman is currently studying at at Western University in London.
