Carelton Leads Panthers, High School Basketball Scores
Bridget Carelton had an impressive game Tuesday night in the Senior Girls Basketball league, outscoring the entire Chatham-Kent Secondary School Golden Hawks team with 32-points in a 54-29 win.
Laurie Scafe added 7 points for the John McGregor Panthers while Lakeisha Cato had 10 and Kelsey Nydham had 7 for CKSS.
At UCC, the Wallaceburg Tartans picked up a 46-37 win over the Lancers. Tamara Campbell and Haley Sarapnickas each had 16-points in the win for Wallaceburg. UCC’s top scorers were Megan Muir (11) and Aryn Finley (10).
In Single A hoops, Annie Shaw scored 24-points for the Lambton-Kent Cardinals as they defeated Ridgetown 51-39. Hope Long had a team high 17 for Ridgetown.
Finally, the Pain Court Patriotes defeated Chatham Christian 41-20, with Brooke Marchand and Kristen Goodison leading the way for Pain Court, knocking down 11-points each. Amy Bultje had a game high 14-points in the losing effort for Chatham Christian.
