Cougars Begin Fall Ball With A Six Pack Of Games

League play has started for the CK Cougars, 6 games were on tap this weekend at a two local fields.

TV Cogeco 23 Chatham Auto Sales 19
Carter Wright stripped the ball late in the game for TVCogeco and ran 80 yards for a touchdown in a 23-19 comeback win over Chatham Auto Sales. Bradley Wild scored on a long 55 yard run and on a 1 yard dive for TVCogeco. Wright kicked two converts and Wild kicked a rouge to round out the scoring. Chatham Auto Sales got touchdowns from Jeremiah Ladd-Guy on a 58 yard run, Adam Pearson on a 2 yard QB sneak and Colin Hoorelbeck on a 20 yard run. Hoorelbeck also ran in a convert. The Chatham Auto Sales defense was led by Dawson Arnold-Blonde with a fumble recovery and David Leclair with an interception. The TVCogeco defense was led by David Nethersole II, Chris Osborne and Wild with fumble recoveries.

Enviro-Clean Car & Dog Wash 14 Campbell Toyota 6
Julian Ferrell ran a punt back 45 yards for a touchdown and Keagan Meville scored on a 17 yard run to lift Enviro-Clean Car & Dog Wash to a 14-6 victory over Campbell Toyota. Evan Torres converted both touchdowns. Ethan Jordan put it in high gear and scored on a 30 yard touchdown run for Campbell Toyota. The Campbell Toyota defense was led by Cameron Creechan, Konnor Vanheesch and Zakeri Dorssers has fumble recoveries and Connor Wright and Jordan had interceptions. The Enviro-Clean defense was led by Carson Lernout and Ethan Ciupka with fumble recoveries.

Community Cleaners 14 Evans Wholesale 0
Braydon Hazzard scored on a 8 yard run around the right end of the Offensive Line and took a pass from QB Ross Henderson 60 yards to the end zone to lead Community Cleaners to a 14-0 win over Evans Wholesale. Evans Wholesale played tough defense led by Bradley Shreve with a fumble recovery and leading tacklers Drew Barko and Cameron Evans. The Community Cleaners defense was led by Braxton Anderson with an interception.

Erieau Marina 28 Bedell’s Food Services 21
Dillon Beaumont scored on a 35 yard Statue of Liberty play and a 56 yard pitch to lead Erieau Marina to a 28-21 victory over Bedell’s Food Services. James Muharrem scored on 19 and 58 yard receptions from QB Jarrett Millard. Muharrem and Christian Moccia each kicked extra points. QB Ryan Noel scored on runs of 5 and 1 yards and WB Chris Vercauteren scored on a 13 yard pitch around the right end for Bedell’s Food Services. Noel kicked a convert and the Bedell’s defense scored on a rouge. Ian Pepper had a fumble recovery for Bedell’s and Brandon Tatsu had an interception for Erieau Marina.

Tate Wilkins threw a 70 yard touchdown pass to Devon Hart and returned an interception 25 yards for a touchdown to lead Enviro-Clean Car&Dog Wash to a 35-0 win over Greener Project Development. Brady Castein scored on a 63 yard pitch, Alex Muharrem reached the end zone on a 50 yard run around the right end and Cody Boulley plunged in from 4 yards out on a QB draw for Enviro-Clean. The Greener Project Development defense was led by Emiigwed Shognosh-Diaz with a fumble recovery. Hart and Boulley had interceptions and Spencer Denomy had a sack for Enviro-Clean.

Black Goose Grill 25 RE/MAX Chatham-Kent Realty 18
Jonathon Cartier was a one-man wrecking crew for the Black Goose Grill scoring four touchdowns en route to a 25-18 win over RE/MAX Chatham-Kent Realty. Cartier scored on runs of 61 and 26 yards, returned a fumble 48 yards for a touchdown and ran an interception back 46 yards into the end zone. Cartier also converted one of his touchdowns. Lucas Doyle scored on a 15 yard sweep behind the left side of the offensive line and on a 1 yard QB sneak for RE/MAX. Jude Pearson also scored on a 1 yard dive up the middle. The RE/MAX defense was led by Garren Grant and Darwin Mitchell while the Black Goose defense was led by Tate O’Leary and Jordan Lallean.
