Feasey Powers Maroons in Return
It didn’t take Brennan Feasey long to reassert himself as one of the top players in the GOJHL’s Western Conference.
Sunday, facing the Lambton Shores Predators, and joining an already power packed Chatham Maroons lineup, Feasey had a three point night, helping Chatham to a 6-1 win.
To open the game, Feasey and fellow new returnee to the Maroons Alex Morgan, set up Ian Faubert for his third goal of the season. Only 13 seconds later, Sean Myers would score to put Chatham up 2-0.
In the second period, Lambton Shores scored their only goal of the game, before Feasey popped his first of the season, assisted by Steven Szekesy.
Jake Flegal scored to start the third period. The defenceman who came to the Maroons from the OPJHL Junior A loop, also added two assists in the game and has 10 points in his first 8 games with Chatham.
On the powerplay midway through the period, Feasey scored his second of the game, assisted by Morgan and Flegal.
Then, to cap off the scoring, captain Sean Myers, who also had a three point night, scored again to make it 6-1.
Darien Ekblad took the win again in net, making 30 saves.
Chatham will travel to St. Marys this Friday to take on the Lincolns, as they try to win their 6th straight game.
