Blenheim’s Kyle Hope is off to a spectacular start to his OHL season with the Owen Sound Attack scoring at more than a point per game pace.

Entering his fourth season in the Ontario Hockey League, Hope went unselected in the NHL draft this past summer, but was invited to the New York Rangers prospect camp, and is looking to show NHL scouts that he is a top prospect.

Currently, the defenceman is sitting 20th in OHL scoring, accumulating 1 goal an 5 assists through his first 5 games.

Saturday against the Sarnia Sting, Hope picked up his 6th point of the season, an assist on the Attack’s only goal in a 2-1 loss.

The assist however kept Hope’s point streak alive as he has hit the scoresheet in every game this season, including 2 assists on opening night, and a goal during his next game against Saginaw. Hope is also an impressive +5 through 5 games and has 8 penalty minutes.

Last season, Hope had 35 points in 56 games which he split between Owen Sound and the Oshawa Generals. While with Oshawa, Hope was also slapped with a 10 game suspension for a hit midseason.
