Kings Cruise to Easy Win Over Wallaceburg
The Dresden Kings had no mercy Friday night in a lopsided win over their Highway 78 rivals, the Wallaceburg Lakers.
Wallaceburg’s Jeff Nolfo would open the scoring in the game, but Dresden would answer back by dominating the rest of the game. Macks Holmes started things off for Dresden scoring a shorthanded goal midway through the first period. Jesse Allen put the Kings ahead near the end of the first. Allen would finish the game with a goal and three assists.
In the second period, Dylan Mertz scored back to back goals only 24 seconds apart to continue to charge for the Kings. Before the period was out, Taylor Sisson, Jeff Vanrabaeys, and Cam Ross would all hit the scoresheet.
Sam Jasmin would try to stop the bleeding for Wallaceburg, scoring early in the third period, but Cody McPhail answered back for Dresden capping the score at 8-2.
Dresden will travel to Mooretown Saturday night to take on the Flags.
