Maroons Leave Lincolns Seeing Pink
The St. Mary’s Lincolns will be seeing pink for the next week after the Chatham Maroons handed them an 8-1 beating Sunday night at Memorial Arena on the Maroons’ annual pink jersey night.
Wearing pink for breast cancer awareness, the Chatham Maroons exploded offensively for five goals in the first period. Ian Faubert opened the scoring at 1:57, which would be rapidly followed by two more goals in less than a minute by Eric Palazollo and Connor Doran.
Midway through the first, St. Marys would score their only goal of the game, before the Maroons struck again with goals from Jake Flegal and Michael Levesque.
In the second period, Thomas Eady got on the board, scoring the lone goal of the period.
Alex Morgan continued his strong return to the Chatham Maroons scoring in the third, while rookie Jay Ritchie scored his first career junior goal to close out the scoring.
Chatham will travel to London this Wednesday to face the Nationals.
