Maroons Survive LaSalle Comeback

The LaSalle Vipers tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the Chatham Maroons held on for a 3-2 victory.
Chatham took a 3-0 lead during the second period, only to have LaSalle storm back on a Dylan Denomme goal 13:40 into the third period to pull to one goal down.
The Maroons were led by Brennan Feasey, who grabbed one goal. Feasey scored on the power play 2:58 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Chatham. Chatham had gotten the advantage when the Vipers’ Chad Shepley was sent off for interference. Brayden Hopkins assisted on the tally.
Michael Verboom also scored for Chatham. More assists for Chatham came via Steven Szekesy, who had one and Trevor Richardson, who had two.
LaSalle’s offense rang up 34 shots on the Maroons’ net.
In addition, LaSalle received assists from Scott Prier and Eric Noel, who contributed one a piece.
Darien Ekblad rejected 32 shots on goal for Chatham. The Maroons incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Conner MacKinnon recorded 23 saves for the Vipers. LaSalle incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
