Tartans Get Free Ride to Finals

After not losing a game in almost two years, the Wallaceburg Tartans Senior Boys football team will get an extra week off before their title as Kent Champions will be challenged.

The Blenheim Bobcats have forfeited Friday’s semi-final game against Wallaceburg due to a lack of available players for the game.

Wallaceburg will now wait to determine who their challenger will be for the November 3 Kent final, which will be hosted by Wallaceburg. Game time is 1pm.

Wallaceburg will face either the UCC Lancers, or the Chatham-Kent Secondary School Golden Hawks. Their semi-final will take place Friday night at 7pm under the lights at CKSS.

The forfeit also means Wallaceburg will automatically face the Sarnia-Lambton representative in the A-AA SWOSSAA semi-final, win or lose, following the Kent Final.
