Essex Blows Out Wheatley

The Essex 73s had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-0 win over the Wheatley Sharks.

Wheatley’s power play was ineffective against Essex’s penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The 73s were paced by Scott Bromley, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Bromley scored 2:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Essex. Jordan Brohman provided the assist.

Essex excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in 11 chances. The 73s featured an improved defense during the game. Essex allows 2.3 goals per game.

Essex additionally got points from Brohman, who also registered one goal and one assist. Essex also got a goal from Jordan Ryan as well. In addition, Essex received assists from Marco Canzoneri, Aaron Thibert, and Antonio Chiampa, who each chipped in one.
