TSN and the Blades Recreate Clarke’s Goal
Blenheim Blades practice, and recreate Blades’ forward Tyler Clarke’s memorable goal that got National attention last month.
TSN travelled to Blenheim Monday night to participate in a Clarke scored an incredible goal October 21 against the Mooretown Flags, where he split two defenders, completed a spinorama, and slid the puck under the Flags’ netminder.
The goal, which was sent to TSN, was heralded by the TSN panel, including analysts Bob McKenzie and Mike Johnson on an instalment of “The Quiz.”
Monday, Johnson, who spent several seasons in the NHL, visited the Blades’ practice to attempt to recreate Clarke’s goal, and to interview players.
Clarke’s goal will be showcased next month as part of TSN’s plays of the year.
The practice drew a large crowd, as the event was open to the public.
Clarke is an overager, who is a Blenheim resident, and currently leads the Blades with 8 goals and 11 assists through 23 games.
