Fox Close to OHL Return
After breaking his foot in the offseason, Thamesville’s Dane Fox is closing in on a return to the Erie Otters lineup.
Fox, who broke his foot vacationing this summer, led the OHL’s Erie Otters in scoring last year with 23 goals and 31 assists in 62 games.
The Otters Tweeted early today “Fox could make his season debut this weekend.”
He was selected to participate in the CHL Top Prospects game but went undrafted in the 2012 NHL Priority Draft.
Currently the Otters are led by rookie phenom Connor McDavid who has 17 goals and 19 assists in only 23 games. After finishing at the bottom of the standings last year, the Otters are playing imporved hockey, and currently sit ahead of both Peterborough and Ottawa in the OHL standings.
Erie has a busy weekend hosting Ottawa and Guelph, and travelling to Brampton.
