Wallaceburg Red Devils star Jordan VanDamme was selected in the third round of the Canadian Lacrosse League (CLAX) draft this week.
VanDamme, who recently attended an NLL tryout with the Rochester Nighthawks, was taken in the 3rd round, 16th overall, by the Durham TurfDogs.
In 12 games with the Wallaceburg Red Devils last season, Jordan VanDamme had 29 goals and 22 assists for 53 points.
During the postseason, VanDamme continued his torrid pace amassing 21 goals and adding 16 assists in only 10 games.
The Durham TurfDogs will begin their 2013 indoor lacrosse season Sunday, January 13, when they visit the Toronto Shooting Stars. Durham’s home opener, played out of the GM Centre in Oshawa, is January 27, again facing the Shooting Stars.
The Canadian Lacrosse League was founded in 2012 with the Oshweken Demons winning the inaugural title.
