Allin Adds CIS Athlete of the Week Honours to Resume

After being named the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks, and Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Athlete of the Week, Chatham’s Maxwell Allin has added CIS Athlete of the Week honours to his resume.

Allin set a new Wilfrid Laurier single game scoring record in a 94-88 loss to the Guelph Gryphons Saturday lighting up the court with 43-points and now leads all CIS basketball players in points per game.

The fourth year arts student went 6-for-10 from behind the three point arch and was 11-for-12 from the free throw line in the effort. Earlier in the week, Allin, who is now averaging 26.3 points per game this season, scored 28 points, and added 10 assists, and 7 rebounds in a 112-92 upset over Number 8 ranked Windsor. His 26.3 points per game average is tops in the CIS.

In his two games last week, Allin averaged a remarkable 35.5 points per game.

University of Sherbrook volleyball player Roxane Hasseni was named the CIS Female Athlete of the Week.
