Sam Jasmin scored twice for the Lakers, including an empty netter, while Whitson also scored again late to lead the Lakers to the win over the Blenheim Blades, who have been surging up the standings of late. Jasmin finished the game with two goals and two assists.

Blenheim got goals from Taylor Phillips, Aaron Pastorius, and Kirk McKillop in the loss.

The Lakers also made a donation prior to the game to the United Way of Chatham-Kent. All five Chatham-Kent junior hockey teams have made contributions to the United Way this year.
