Pollock Scores OT Winner for Mammoth
Wallaceburg lacrosse alumni Sean Pollock scored a big goal for his Colorado Mammoth Saturday, netting the overtime winner in a 13-12 victory over the Calgary Roughnecks.
“This is one of the hardest barns to win in,” Pollock said on the Mammoth’s website about the win in Calgary. “Anytime you can get a win here it’s great for your team.”
Pollock also had three assists in the win for Colorado.
The Mammoth lost their season opener against the Washington Stealth the week prior 17-13. Pollock had a goal and three assists in that game as well, giving the Port Lambton resident eight points in his first two games of the season.
Colorado and Calgary play again this Friday in Denver.
In other lacrosse news, fellow Wallaceburg lacrosse alumni Isaiah Kicknosway had two assists as his Ohsweken Demons defeated the Brampton Inferno 16-8 in Canadian Lacrosse League (CLAX) action. Wallaceburg’s Justin Durston got his first point in the Canadian Lacrosse League, an assist, in a 22-12 loss for his Iroqouis Ironmen to the Niagara Lock Monsters.
