Chatham Christian Wins Consolation Final
Competing against 17 teams, after a 3-match pool play, and a gruelling 5-match playoff round, Toronto Christian won the main championship over host Quinte Christian.
In Pool Play, the Chatham Christian Flames defeated London (eventual semi-finalist) 25-10, 25-18;
lost narrowly to Heritage 13-25 25-15,15-13; and then to Toronto 25-17, 25-10.
During the playoffs, Chatham lost narrowly to Kings College 27-25, 25-22, and to Heritage
25-22, 25-21, 15-11; before winning three straight matches. Chatham defeated Ottawa Redeemer 25-16,
25-20; Rehoboth 25-18, 25-12; and finally beat Fergus Emmanuel 25-16, 25-17 to take the consolation title.
Next Saturday February 9, CCHS plays at the UCC Senior tournament.
