Nationals Regain Series Lead Over Maroons

The London Nationals won game three of the GOJHL Western Conference finals to regain a one game series lead over the Chatham Maroons. In front of 1,366 fans at Chatham Memorial Arena, the Nationals downed the Maroons 4-1 Sunday night.

In the first, the London Nationals scored a pair of powerplay goals to take a lead that would hold up for the remainder of the game. Noah Schwartz and Matt Fuller had the London goals.

Nate Pietens would score the lone Chatham Maroons goal in the second period before Ryan Wells and Connor Allison would score to put the game on ice.

Chatham drastically outshot the Nationals in the game, peppering London netminder Taylor Edwards with 42 shots, while Chatham goalie Darien Ekblad made 25 saves in the loss.

Game 4 will take place Wednesday April 3 in London.
