Pain Court Cleans Up Home Badminton Tournaments
The ESPC Patriotes hosted their annual Junior and Senior badminton tournament’s Friday and Saturday.
In the Junior tournament, Chatham-Kent Secondary School’s Lee Kucera and Julie Earle won their third consecutive tournament in the mixed doubles division, defeating Danielle Lucier and Devante Kentebe of UCC in the final.
Pain Court’s Macy Pinsonneault won the girls singles crown, while fellow ESPC competitors Isaac Pinsonneault and Ben Bruhlman (boys doubles) and Jule Houle and Madeleine Myers (girls doubles) also won their respective divisions.
In the senior tournament, Andre Pinsonneault of ESPC defeated CKSS’ Brad Hockin in the boys single final. Sheridan Rogers of UCC took the girls singles crown as the only other Chatham-Kent champion at the senior level.
