Pataki Saves The Game For Wallaceburg in Opener
The Wallaceburg Tartans were seconds from having their opening game of the 2013 Junior Football season spoiled, until Brady Pataki picked off a pass in his own endzone with 7 seconds left to save the game. The interception saved Wallaceburg’s 16-10 win.
Earlier in the game, Pataki also ran in a 7-yard touchdown, and he led the Wallaceburg Tartans defense with 10 tackles. Marc Kellet had the other Wallaceburg touchdown, trotting in from 21-yards out, as a part of his team leading 10 carry, 78-yard performance.
Tanner Shuian had the lone Blenheim Bobcats touchdown in the loss, while Mo Ibari kicked a 32-yard field goal for the Bobcats.
Shuian topped all Blenheim Bobcats players in carries, being handed the ball 20 times, and totaling 117-yards.
Blenheim hosts UCC next Thursday at 3:45pm, while Wallaceburg welcomes John McGregor Friday, also at 3:45pm.
