Blenheim’s Brady Campbell will become the first ever Elmira Sugar Kings player to be designated with a Top Prospect Award at the annual Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) awards ceremony this June 7.

Taking place at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto, Campbell is one of six players from Ontario being listed as an OHA Top Prospect. The award is given to players who have the potential to play at the professional level, as judged by the OHA’s board of directors.

Campbell, a former Blenheim Blades star, will play for the University of Maine Blackbears next season after accepting an NCAA Division I scholarship this past year.

Despite missing more than a dozen GOJHL games this season after breaking his cheekbone, Campbell still finished second in the league in goals, with 40, and fifth in point with 69. In 6 playoff games, Campbell led the Sugar Kings with 5 goals and 3 assists.

Campbell was also named a Mid-Western Conference first-team all-star and won the Leroy Jamieson Memorial Award.
