The Barrie Colts grabbed a 2-1 series lead over the London Knights last night with a 6-3 Game 3 victory. Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith had a goal and an assist in the loss. Game 4 is tomorrow night in Barrie.
World Hockey Championships
TJ Brodie and Team Canada will lace them up today against Norway in pool play. Puck drops at 2:15 p.m.
Stanley Cup Playoffs
Boston 5 at 2 Toronto – The Bruins scored two goals, two minutes apart in the second to clinch the victory. Jake Gardiner and Phil Kessel scored for the Leafs. Boston now leads the series 2-1.
Anaheim 2 at 3 Detroit (OT) – Damien Brunner scored with 4:50 left in overtime, lifting the Wings to a series-evening win over the Ducks.

Washington 3 at 4 NY Rangers – The Cap lead 2-1
St. Louis 3 at 4 Los Angeles – The series is tied 2-2

Montreal Canadiens right-winger Brendan Gallagher, Florida Panthers centre Jonathan Huberdeau and Chicago Blackhawks left-winger Brandon Saad were named finalists for the Calder Memorial Trophy yesterday.
Senior girls soccer
Pain Court topped Wallaceburg 2-1. Abbey Broad scored the lone Tartans goal. Cassandra Faubert scored both for the Pats.
C-K blanked McGregor 4-0.
Senior boys soccer
Brayden Fischer scored twice for the Tartans, but it wasn’t enough, as the Patriotes topped Wallaceburg 3-2. Curtis Lemieux, Andre Pinsonneault and Kyle Parry scored for Pain Court.
C-K shut-out MCGregor 6-0. Jake Fancy scored three, Brandon Foster two and Sanaam Memon scored one for the Hawks.
