Devils Sinfully Good Against Welland
The Wallaceburg Red Devils were sinfully good against the Welland Warlocks Saturday as they ran the visiting team into the ground, outscoring them 23-7, taking their third straight win.
Wallaceburg’s Mike Myers topped all scorers collecting four goals and adding six assists, for an incredible ten point performance.
Neil McInroy, who has seen time with the Jr. A Toronto Beaches each of the last two seasons, and played for the Laurentian University field lacrosse team, scored a hat trick for the Red Devils and added an assist.
In his typical fashion this season, Red Devils leading scorer Jordan Durston was all over the scoresheet again, recording nine points in the win, including two goals. Despite missing a game this season, Durston sits only three points behind the league lead with 18 goals and 21 assists in only 5 contests.
Mitch VanDamme, Evan Mathany, David Veitch, Chris Taylor, and Brendan Johnston each had two goals in the win, while singles came from Brandon Lilley, Lucas Beaver, Justin Scheuneman, and Nate Carroll.
Wallaceburg plays in Hamilton Sunday May 19, and in Point Edward Wednesday, May 22.
