Griffins Win Six Nations Confederacy Challenge

The Wallaceburg Griffins Midget lacrosse team defeated Brampton, Six Nations 3, and the TNT Renegades to play against Kitchener on Sunday for the “A” division championship. The Griffins defeated Kitchener 6-4 to take home gold at the Six Nations Confederacy Challenge.

The team entered the tournament on a two game winning streak after defeating Sarnia 8-5, and London 10-4 in regular season action.

The Wallaceburg Griffins Midgets include Parker Gilhuly, Kyle Dawson, Matt Cousins, Bronson Bea, Cory Lucier, Kain Whiteye, Mitchell Lilley, Kaid Hart, Jessy Green, Aaron Underwood, Brock Daugherty, Wade Riley, Brock Redford, Robert Rota , Emile Lebel, Emily VanDamme and Noble Jacobs.

The Tyke and Bantam Wallaceburg Griffins also attended the Six Nations tournament, with the Tykes winning the “C” division gold, and the Bantans, finishing with a 3-1 record, good for the “B” division gold.
