Three Drivers Notch Doubles at Dresden Raceway
DRESDEN- MAY 26, 2013- Donnie Rankin Jr., Alex Lilley and Alfie Carroll all drove two winners yesterday at Dresden Raceway.
Rankin picked up his first win in the second race when he guided MCRILEYMAC to the winner’s circle in a time of 1:59.3 and then scored his second with CASH ONLY PLEASE in the fifth in a time of 1:57.4.
Lilley’s first win of the day was with LOOSE TALK in the fourth race in a time of 1:58 flat and then was back to get his picture snapped in the sixth with VIBRENT ALLY.
Carroll drove Pocket Dueces to victory in the third race, going wire to wire in 2:02.1 and then guided TELL THE BOY to a win in the seventh race in 2:01.3.
In other racing action TWIN B EXCALIBUR picked up his 55th career win and pushed his lifetime earnings to over $362, 000 with a wire to wire win for driver Danny Johnson. The 10-Year-Old EARL gelding has started 225 times in his career and is owned by Phil Katcher of Detroit Michigan and co-owned by trainer Randy Fulmer of Windsor.
The fastest mile of the day at the local oval was PRETTYSHEISSHEIS for trainer, driver Chris Johnston. The Six-Year-Old MILLION DOLLAR CAM mare is owned by Lisa Spenser and trained and driven by Chris Johnston of Dresden.
At the Mutuels…The largest payout of the day was the 10th race triactor, the 2-4-8 combination paid $438.90 while the largest win payout of the day was LOOSE TALK in the fourth race that paid $23.20 for a two dollar wager.
The total handle for the 10 race card was $12,764.
