Grace Takes On Marketing Role With CIS

Only a week after stepping down from his position as Director of Athletics with the University of Windsor, Chatham’s Gord Grace has stepped into his new position at the national office of CIS (Canadian Interuniversity Sport).

Grace will oversee the CIS’ marketing efforts.

“Gord has proven an exceptional asset to CIS in the last few years and we’re thrilled that he will continue to be part of the CIS family as we enter a very exciting period for the organization,” said Pierre Lafontaine, chief executive officer of CIS in an official news release.

Grace, who left the University of Windsor Lancers after 11 years as their Director of Athletics, sat on the CIS board of directors last year, and played an integral role in the CIS securing a national television deal with Sportsnet. Grace also contributed to the CIS’ recent success by building relationships with multiple corporate partners.

Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) is the national governing body of university sport in Canada, featuring more than 11,000 student-athletes from 54 universities across the country.
