JMSS Changes Pace For Award Night
John McGregor Secondary School changed things up this year by holding an Athletic Activity and Awards Night, instead of holding a formal Award Banquet for their school’s athletes.
“This event was student driven due to the fact the the middle season of teams were lost due to the political climate in the Secondary Schools across the Province,” explained a John McGregor representative in their release.
In lieu of a formal banquet, the students decided to have fun by dividing up into teams and enjoying friendly competitions which included student athletes from all grades and sports teams.
In addition, dozens of awards were given out to honour Most Valuable, Most Improved, Most Dedicated and Most Sportsmanlike Players as well as Leadership, Participation and Effort awards.
