Red Devils Clipped By Windsor

The Wallaceburg Red Devils added new players, and made a coaching change, but it wasn’t enough to stop them from dropping their fifth straight game Wednesday at home against the Windsor Clippers.

The Wallaceburg Red Devils infused their lineup with fresh blood, and brought back veteran coach Jamie Knight, but still fell 11-7 to the Windsor Clippers.

In the opening period, Wallaceburg climbed out to a 5-2 lead. Jordan Durston, Kyle Dawson, Evan Mathany, Doug Bennett, and Lucas Beaver spread the offense around in the opening frame to give Wallaceburg the early lead.

Windsor bounced back in the second frame, scoring five unanswered goals, after Wallaceburg’s Jordan Durston opened the scoring in the period, sending the Devils into the third down by only one.

The Clippers would again come out storming in the third period, allowing only one Wallaceburg goal, Durston’s hat trick marker, before shutting the door and holding on for the win. Durston ended the game with 3 goals and 3 assists.
