Shepley Debuts In Arrows Win, Devils’ Skid Hits Six
Wallaceburg’s Joel Shepley debuted for the Six Nations Arrows in a 9-5 Arrows win over the Whitby Warriors Sunday. The game was Shepley’s first career OLA Junior A lacrosse performance.
Shepley was scoreless in the win, playing alongside fellow Wallaceburg Red Devils athlete Jordan Durston. Durston, who leads the Red Devils in scoring this season, plans to become a full time player with the Arrows when his high school semester is complete.
Saturday, the Wallaceburg Red Devils, with both Shepley and Durston in the lineup, failed to register a win for the sixth consecutive game, falling to the Niagara Thunderhawks 11-5 in Niagara-On-The-Lake.
Durston and Lucas Beaver scored twice for the Red Devils, while David Veitch had the other Wallaceburg goal.
