Starfire Gymnasts Complete Excellent Season

Starfire Gymnastics of Chatham attended three competitions this season, bringing home more than 60 medals in total.

The team competed at the Red & White Invitational in Richmond Hill, the Springer Challenge in Milton, and That 70’s Meet in Orangeville.

At the Red & White Invitational, 11 year-olds Taryn McEvoy (Level 7) and Alyssa Zandberg (Level 4) both won gold on the bars, and captured the all around division titles. McEvoy also tied for first at the Springer Challenge where Hope Corrente swept the Level 5, 16-year-old category.

Cadance Beuckelare (Age 7) added to her bronze finish at the Red & White, with a silver at the Springer, while Ella Tryon (Age 7) and Molly Hildebrand (Age 8) had matching overall bronze efforts in both. At That 70s Meet, Hildebrand took silver, while Beuckelare and Tryon won bronze.

Zanberg again won the overall gold at That 70s Meet, while 14-year-old Erin Young was second overall.
