Durston, Shepley Named League MVP’s
Durston was named the Western Conference MVP, after he scored 47 goals and added 55 assists for 102-points in only 16 games. Durston split the season between the Wallaceburg Red Devils and Junior A Six Nations Arrows.
Shepley, who served as the Wallaceburg Red Devils captain, was named the West’s Defensive MVP. Not only did Shepley shut down the oppositions top players, but he also added 9 goals and 31 assists in 19 games.
Despite the individual success of these two players, Wallaceburg narrowly missed the playoffs finishing 9th in the Western Conference.
Following the Red Devils’ season, the duo were both signed by the Six Nations Arrows, and are currently playing in the OLA Junior A loop. In 12 games with Six Nations, Durston has 8 goals and 11 assists for 19-points, while Shepley, through his first 5 games with the team, has 4 goals and an assist.
