Foster, McArthur Named WOSL All-Stars
The Western Ontario Soccer League will be holding its 2013 All-Star game on Tuesday, July 9th at the Curinga Club in London. Kick-off will take place at 8:15 PM. The game will see the Premier division all-stars taking on the First division all-stars, with all proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society (Prostate Cancer).
The Wallaceburg Sting will be well represented, with central midfielders, Mark Foster and Colin McArthur, both named to the Premier team.
This tandem has not just seen success together when representing the Sting. Last season, both were members of the Fanshawe College men’s soccer team, and will return to don their uniforms again this fall.
The Wallaceburg Sting’s weekend game vs. Benfica was not played and will be re-scheduled to a later date. Benfica advanced in the Ontario Cup and as a result, had to play on the same date they were to host Wallaceburg. The Sting next play Friday, July 12 at Kinsmen Park vs. London Portuguese. Kick-off is 7:00 PM. The Sting currently sport a record of 2-2-5 (W-T-L).
This is a well-deserved honour for both of these guys! They work hard and take the game seriously. Congrats to them both!
