Havoc Keep Rolling With Comeback Win
The Kent Havoc Men’s rugby team continues to climb the Niagara Rugby Union ‘B’ Division standings, after they defeated the Burlington Centaurs for the second straight week, this time on enemy soil.
Burlington came out of the gate strong, in what ended up being a game of two very different halves. At the end of the first half, Burlington held a commanding 17-0 lead over the Kent Havoc.
The second half however, was a different story as the Havoc defense didn’t allow another point on the board, and the team’s offense kicked into high gear.
Pat O’Donnell, Rhys Higgins, and Matt Sutherland all scored in the second half, leading the Kent Havoc Men to a dramatic 21-17 come from behind victory.
Rhys Higgins was named man of the match.
The win improves the Havoc to an impressive 4-1 on the season.
The Havoc will next host the Niagara Wasps, Saturday, July 20, at the CCI Pitch.
