For the third straight season, Ridgetown’s Crawford McKinlay has grabbed a Jamieson Junior Golf Tour victory on his home course, Ridgetown Golf Club. Wednesday’s win was McKinlay’s second of the season, after he won the tour opening stop in Blenheim.

In brisk wind conditions, McKinlay won the tournament with an even par 72. Second place went to Denim Ouimette with a 73 followed by Nicolas and Brandon Mihalo and Greg Mullins with 74.

Earlier in the week, McKinlay finished second at the 5th stop on the Jamieson Junior Golf Tour which took place at Kingsville Golf Club. McKinlay continues to hold the overall lead in the Jamieson Junior Golf Tour, sitting with 318 points, 9 ahead of second place Jordan Hutchings.

On the women’s side, Alyssa Getty won her 6th straight tournament. Chatham’s Laura Martin finished tied for third, shooting an 85. Martin is 4th overall on the tour.

The next tour stop is July 29 at Beach Grove.

McKinlay’s home course, Ridgetown Golf Club, will celebrate their 90th birthday this weekend.
