The Wallaceburg Griffins Midget lacrosse team won the West Durham Tournament over the weekend.

Friday night the Midget Griffins played Huntsville and won 10 -7. Saturday they would play three games. In the first, the team faced Cornwall and won 6-1. The second game was a hard fought battle against Whitby and was a tie of 4-4. The last game of the day was with Oshawa, with Wallaceburg winning 9-2.

Sunday, the Midget Wallaceburg Griffins advanced to the championship game versus host West Durham. In one of their toughest games of the weekend, Wallaceburg won 4 -3 and took home the gold.

This year the Midget Griffins have gone in three tournaments, Six Nations, Sarnia and West Durham winning gold in Six Nations and West Durham and Silver in Sarnia, only losing 1 game in all three versus Sarnia in Sarnia in the championship game.
