Blenheim’s Breanne Nicholas is representing Team Canada this week as a member of the U20 National Women’s rugby team at the Under 20 Nations Cup.

“I am very proud and pleased for Breanne. She has put in a lot of hard work and a lot of travelling to earn this selection to play for Canada,” said Brian Hall, who coached Nicholas at Blenheim District High School and with the Kent Havoc. “She is an easy player to coach, and accepts guidance and quickly adapts her play.”

The Women’s Under 20 Nations Cup will take place from July 8-21 in the United Kingdom.

Nicholas, who helped the Blenheim Bobcats win three consecutive Kent rugby championships, has playing experience at the National level, playing for the Ontario under-17 team in 2011 and the Ontario under-18 team in 2012.
