Wallaceburg Red Devils Eliminated
After a season which started with much promise, the Wallaceburg Red Devils fell one win short of the postseason, being officially eliminated after wins by London and Brampton.
After London clinched their playoff spot Friday with a 19-6 win over the Point Edward Pacers, the Brampton Excelsiors officially eliminated Wallaceburg Saturday with a 17-7 win over Guelph.
Wallaceburg, who finished the season with a 9-11 record, was in solid positioning until a late May losing streak began, seeing the team lose six straight games.
Wallaceburg has four graduating players, but can potentially return 11 of their top 12 scorers. The Red Devils will likely however, lose Captain Joel Shepley, and leading scorer Jordan Durston, who are both currently playing for the Six Nations Arrows of the OLA Junior A loop.
