Arrows Miss Mark In Deciding Seventh Game

Six-Nations-ArrowsThe Six Nations Arrows fell one goal short of a spot in the Minto Cup, Canada’s Junior A Lacrosse championship. Sunday, in a deciding seventh game of the Ontario Junior A Lacrosse final, the Arrows, who feature Wallaceburg’s Joel Shepley and Jordan Durston, fell 9-8 to the Whitby Warriors in game 7 of the final.

Durston, who has been one of the offensive leaders for the Six Nations Arrows throughout the playoffs scored twice in the loss.

The Wallaceburg resident finished the OLA playoffs with 10 goals and 17 assists for 27 points in 15 games.

Shepley, appeared in 8 postseason games for the Six Nations Arrows, recording one assist while playing a mostly defensive role for the Arrows.

Both players were members of the Wallaceburg Red Devils before joining Six Nations for their playoff run this year.
