Chatham’s MacKenzie Butzer is one win away from sweeping her Tyson Junior Golf Tour season, winning all six stops on the tour she has appeared in so far this season.

The reigning Maple City Country Club Junior champion, Butzer won her sixth straight appearance on the tour Monday, at her home course of Maple City, the Tyson Junior Golf Tour’s only Chatham-Kent stop. Butzer shot a 76 for the win.

Butzer also has wins at St. Thomas (80), West Haven (80), Forest City (73), Highland (75), and Dorchester (70).

Missing four tour stops however, Butzer holds only a narrow lead over second place golfer, Laura Won.

The tour championship is at Sunningdale Golf Course August 28.

Butzer is a two time Tyson Junior Golf Tour champion, winning the tour title in both 2012 and 2010. If she were to win this year’s championship, Butzer would become only the second woman ever, to win the Tyson Tour three times. It was last done by Ann Marie Kovacs from 1991-1993.
