The Chatham-Kent Cougars are graduating several athletes to University’s across Ontario and Quebec next season. The list includes several graduates who have committed to play for CIS football teams, and others who will be given the opportunity at training camp to impress coaches.
Those attending University camps include Jonah Pataki (Queens), Clark Green (Concordia), Max Fantuz (Windsor), Connor Martin (Western), Alex Goldoni (Western), Ben Bartlett (Ottawa), Tanner Emery (Carleton), Kyle Ross (Waterloo), and Erich Demars (Waterloo).
As well, two Cougars graduates attending college this year will be competing for spots with Junior football clubs. Wallaceburg’s Lee Purnell will be trying out for the London Beefeaters, while Tupperville’s Dan Fox will suit up for AKO.
“Cougars definitely gave me an outlook on the next level,” said kicker Clark Green about the benefits of competing with the Cougars.
