Horvat Signs With The Vancouver Canucks

Rodney’s Bo Horvat has signed his first professional hockey contract with the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks. The London Knights star, whose parents stem from Bothwell, was drafted in the first round of the NHL draft, 9th overall.

Horvat was signed to an entry level contract by the Canucks, opening the door for the OHL playoff MVP to start the preseason, and potentially NHL regular season in Vancouver.

Horvat also scored 33 regular season goals last year with the London Knights.

The Vancouver Canucks open their 2013 training camp September 17 and 18 at Rogers Arena. Horvat will also represent the Canucks at the Young Starts tournament the week prior, with a roster comprised of NHL rookies.
