Ontario Sires Stakes Coming To Dresden
Ontario’s developmental program for two and three-year-old Standardbred racehorses makes one stop at Dresden Raceway this Monday, September 2 at 1 pm.
The event marks the opening of the 2013 Ontario Sires Stakes season, and the final day of regular racing at Dresden Raceway.
In addition to outstanding Grassroots action from the two-year-old pacing colts, Dresden Raceway will be offering fans an opportunity to win Ontario Sires Stakes swag. Five draws for OSS apparel will be held throughout the afternoon, and fans can enter by filling in a ballot on the back of any losing pari-mutuel ticket.
Chatham breeder Rob Chapple’s ‘Regal Babe’ will be looking for his second victory, as he’ll be racing in Monday’s Grassroots stop at Dresden Raceway.
The Ontario Sires Stakes (OSS) program was established in 1974 to promote the breeding of Standardbred horses in Ontario and to provide economic incentives for breeders, owners and trainers to breed, buy and race horses in Ontario.
