Wallaceburg’s Riley Roe will play on a much larger stage this weekend, as he was selected to play for the Rochester Knighthawks Peewee team at the first ever Junior National Lacrosse League Tournament.

The tournament will be held at the Toronto Rock Training Centre in Oakville, where Roe and the Knighthawks will play the Toronto Jr. Rock (Friday, 4pm), the Vancouver Jr. Stealth (Friday, 8pm), the Colorado Jr. Mammoth (Saturday, 10am), and the Buffalo Jr. Bandits (Saturday, 3pm), before the Semi-Finals and Finals on Sunday.

In 34 games this season with the Wallaceburg Griffins Peewee team, Riley Roe scored an incredible 62 goals and added 41 assists for a total of 103 points.

Roe scored twice for the Wallaceburg Griffins in the Ontario Championship game, where he helped his team defeat Owen Sound 7-2 for a Provincial ‘B’ title.

Overall, Roe and the Peewee Griffins won four tournaments in total in 2013.
