The Chatham Sports Hall of Fame honoured their permanent inductees Thursday evening at the Chatham WISH Centre.

Winning five Canadian youth tennis championships and playing tennis from 1997 to 2001 for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers, Chatham’s Tyson Parry was inducted as the athlete-modern.

The athlete-legend, was Peter Gilbert, a skilled curler. Minor baseball coach Norman Morris, who passed away in 2012 was named the builder, while soccer executive Martin Aarts was also inducted as a builder.

Finally, the 1992-93 McGregor Panthers girls basketball team was the 2013 team inductee, who won OFSAA gold for the second straight season that year.
