Kyle Brothers scored a hat trick for the Chatham Maroons Thursday, as Chatham defeated the Sarnia Legionnaires 5-4 on the road.

To open the game, Brothers took a feed from new Maroons acquisition Adam Arseneault, as the two former Lambton Shores Predators reunited on a line with Chatham. Michael Verboom also assisted on the goal.

Mark Fratarcangelli built Chatham a two goal lead later in the first period, and after Sarnia struck back, Brothers scored his second of the game with Verboom, and another former Lambton Shores Predator, Tanner Ferguson picking up assists.

Sarnia scored twice in the second period, while Chatham rookie James McEwan kept things knotted up, sending the game to the third period 4-4.

After Sarnia temporarily took the lead in the third period, Kyle Brothers capped off his hat trick, with Verboom picking up his third assist, to lift the Maroons to the 5-4 win.
