Ryan Gruszka is a 17-year-old hockey player from Belle River, Ontario. Gruszka is currently the leading scorer for the Wallaceburg Lakers.

After struggling to score in the opening games of the season, Wallaceburg signed Gruzska, who previously played ‘AAA’ hockey in Windsor and attends Belle River District High School, and he made an immediate impact to the team scoring at more than a point per game pace.

Here are Ryan Gruszka’s answers to CKSN’s Five Questions.

1. What is your career sports highlight/top memory?

Going to the Brick Invitational Super Novice Hockey Tournament in 2006 held in Edmonton, Alberta.

2. Who is your favourite professional sports team and athlete?

Los Angeles Kings, and my favourite athlete is Anze Kopitar who plays for the Kings.

3. If you could achieve one thing/goal in sports, what would it be?

To obtain a University hockey scholarship or play in the OHL.

4. Who has been your biggest sports influence and why?

My Dad, because he is always doing everything he can possibly do to help me improve in Hockey and better myself as a person.

5. What do you love most about playing sports?
There are a few things I love about sports:
-You can practice a skill you can have the rest of your life
-Meeting new people, building friendships and chemistry with teammates
-The emotions that run throughout the game ex: Excitement, Concentration.
