The Chatham-Kent Cougars football program ended another successful season, with the celebration of their athletes at their annual minor football banquet.

With over 240 athletes participating in Chatham-Kent’s fall football league, Cougars president Sel Jordan took the time to thank all those involved for making the season possible.

“Thank-You for everyone involved with our Chatham-Kent Cougars Minor Football season from our sponsors to our donors, to our volunteers, to our parents and to our players,” said Jordan. “It was great to see all 12 teams, hundreds of football players, many volunteers, and a high number of parents and supporters on or near the football field this year, that was awesome.”

“For Minor The balance between competition and FairPlay participation is what our Chatham “ent Cougars Football Club is always striving towards,” continued Jordan, who also mentioned the development many Cougars athletes experienced. “The improvement from the start to the end of the season for our players was evident,” he said.

The Cougars also have big plans for next season including their annual Superbowl signup/registration, and workout programs and clinics throughout the winter adn spring.

The Cougars also thanked their Fall football sponsors, including Chatham’s EnviroClean Car and Dog Wash, who similarly sponsored CKSN’s Cougar of the Week award, and all of the volunteers who helped the organization this season.

As well, the Cougars are wishing their athletes, who are representing Team Ontario this December, the best of luck and congratulations. Those athletes include Patrick Ezewski, Brandon Tatsu, Liam Henderson, Nate Krieger, and Jon Cartier.
